This shot was taken on a ranch near prairie Dell, Texas during the filming of “Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2” directed by Tobe Hooper, script by Kit Carson. Richard and Laura Kooris worked on the film in the summer of 1986 as DP/Camera operator and script supervisor, respectively. The shot was taken during a torrential rain storm with lighting from a Musco light on a very large crane. The set was threatened by tornados that evening and the shoot had to be suspended due to extreme weather. This location was the setting for some of the underground chase scenes in the lair of the chainsaw family.
